Monica's Family Day Care - Stem Roos Pre School

As a mother myself, and an experienced Family Day Care Educator for almost 14 years, I am dedicated to providing meaningful and enriching learning experiences for all children. My teaching philosophy, based on the Reggio Emilia approach, values active engagement and collaboration between teacher and child, and I aim to create a safe and supportive environment for play, learning, and development.

I prioritise STEM education and consider the input of parents to ensure a comprehensive educational experience. The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) supports my method, promoting play-based learning, experimentation, and building relationships between teachers, children, and families. I strive to cultivate a culturally inclusive and respectful learning environment through partnerships with families and the community. Effective early childhood education requires close collaboration with families.

I cater for children of all ages and plan “hands-on” activities, accordingly.
